Week 5

Natalie and I returned home from a wonderful time in Montana. We got to Butte the same day that Piper came home! It was so wonderful snuggling her, she is so precious and beautiful. :) I got to spend an entire day with Piper, Mick, Natalie and Beth. It was really awesome.  Piper is doing great. She is eating well, gaining weight and sleeping like a champ. Beth was doing great as well, moving around and even vacuuming the floors 3 weeks after surgery (I offered to do it but she insisted she wanted to, she told me I could help by holding Piper (pull my arm!)

While I was home we also moved my Grandma Betty out of her home of 42 years. It was difficult, exhausting and emotional for everyone, most especially my Grandma. We got her moved into a beautiful "senior" living apartment complex down the road. It is brand new and has a lot of amenities. :) We are hoping she adjusts well and starting picking up hobbies and friends.

Also while home Matt had another (hopefully the last) surgery. He had his tonsils removed, some ablation of the tissues in his throat and his nose broken to fix a diverted septum (phew). He is on day 5 of his recovery and he is in a lot pain.  I guess its a really painful surgery but he will be able to breathe and sleep much better once he is recovered.

I had HCG test done on Saturday the 7th and got my results back. I am at 467 now.....about a 500 point drop which is great but part of me was expecting a bigger drop after 10 days.  I am trying to focus on being thankful for good results though. Of course a small part of me was really hoping to be really close to 0.  It is going to be a real test in patience the closer I get to "0". I will head back in on Wednesday to get another test done.  I am feeling pretty good physically. I started working out again today which I think is going to help me a lot. Through all of this I have been so incredibly blessed by so many people. Thank you all for your love and encouragement. Most of all thank you for caring. :) Hopefully I will be able to report good news on Wednesday! :)

Love and Blessings.
